Fort Morgan High School Class of 1984

What happens after graduation? this was the big question for the seniors. Most of the dreams and ideas consisted of attending college, getting married and becoming rich. Don McMillan wanted to get rich quick and make lots and lots of money. Ingrid Hochanadel said "I plan to play volleyball, meet a great looking guy and make lots of money." Tony Middlemist said, "I want to graduate with a masters in pre-med and then buy a ranch in the mountains. I want to be rich and own a mazeratti." Alan Coffin wanted to earn a bachelor's degree in architecture and get out in the real world and make bucks.
There were some who wanted to continue living in Fort Moragn. Stacey Bruntz wanted to get a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She wanted to get married and come back to Fort Morgan to teach school.

Scott Blachly wanted to marry his high school sweetheart Susie Solt, and play in the NBA. He wanted to make one million dollars a year and live in the virgin islands.
Some Seniors didn't know what the wanted to do. When asked what her goal after graduation was, Angie Hamman replied, "God! I don't know. I have to graduate first."
No matter which direction each senior took, the good times and guidance we were given at FMHS won't be forgotten by most.

While looking back at what we thought the world would be like, what our dreams and aspirations were, and how prepared we thought we were, the real world suddenly was dropped in our laps. No one was spared the harsh reality of life and moving forward.

The problems of life soon crept into our lives, and we quickly learned to deal with them as best we could in a quick fashion. Life was not like the school bells that ended that dreadful classes we hated to attend, or the finals that we had to take. Real life waited for no one and went quicker and quicker as each day of our lives past us by. The road we thought our lives would take took turns, detours, and U-turns we could have never imagined.

We grew stronger and weaker, but were still determined to do the best we could with what we had. The dilligence, persistence and striving to be the best we could be which we learned at FMHS from all the teachers has greatly helped us in our lives. I am sure most of us, even though we liked some teachers more than others, appreciate every ounce of effort that was put into our lives and helped make us what we are today. I take this time to thank each and every teacher that has ever touched my life in any way shape or form, a great big THANK YOU! Your blood, sweat and tears MADE A DIFFERENCE! (tez)
